Paddy Power specials: Norwich v City

  • 13 April 2012 15:14

City are favourites to close the title gap to just two points when they visit Norwich in Saturday’s early Barclays Premier League contest.

The Blues betting partner Paddy Power have Roberto Mancini’s men at 4/7 to leave Carrow Road with all three points and so turn up the pressure on neighbours United.

Norwich though will be no easy proposition, in the course of their last four games the Canaries have beaten Wolves, drawn with in-form Everton and, in their last outing, taken all three points away to Spurs.

Paul Lambert’s side have proven a tough prospect for nearly every side they’ve faced this season. The only comprehensive defeats they’ve suffered have come in a 3-0 defeat away to Sunderland and the 5-1 loss to City at the Etihad Stadium.

Those who think the back-to-form Blues will repeat their five-star show against Norwich can back a 5-1 win at 55/1.

Those who do not like betting odds on might like the look of the handicap market with City -1 goal priced up at 8/5 or City -2 goals at 4/1.

Given Norwich’s solid home record, City -1 goal at 8/5 looks the pick of those handicap bets to Paddy Power.

Up front for City Sergio Aguero is 4/1 to score first, his compatriot Carlos Tevez is the favourite at 7/2. Aguero was the man who opened the scoring in the first meeting between the two sides.

Samir Nasri was also on the scoresheet that day and the French midfielder can be backed to score any time in 90 minutes at 23/10. If Yaya Toure returns from injury he is priced at 5/2 to score any time.
