Carlos Tevez took time out from his preparations for a busy week ahead to collect his Etihad Player of the Month award for December.

City fans voted for the striker after his outstanding form last month, when he racked up eight goals in seven games, with Anne-Marie Mockridge being picked out of the hat to present him with his trophy.

Carlos said, "I want to thank everyone who voted for me, it's a nice honour especially when some of my team mates have been in such good form as well. City fans have been so nice to me since I came here and I want to keep on thanking them by doing what I can out on the pitch."
