Abdul Razak has praised the senior players in the City squad for all their advice in pre-season.
The 19-year-old Ivorian midfielder has been put through the mill at the Blues training camp in Austria but like all the other youngsters on the fringes of the squad has responded positively.
It has been a great experience," reckoned the youngster who last season had spells on loan at both Portsmouth and Brighton. "Working with the manager and some great players is a fantastic opportunity for me and for all the other young lads."
"They are both great players and great people and they have taken me under their wing," he revealed.
"I cannot thank them enough. On the pitch and on the pitch they are always giving me advice. But all the players here are like that. Everyone wants everyone else to be successful. The main advice the senior players have is that we must work hard. That’s what we have been doing these two weeks."
Having had a couple of substitute appearances in the Premier League for the champions and two starts in the League Cup, Razak knows exactly what it will take to breakthrough and he has not ruled out moving away from the The Etihad Stadium on loan again this season.
"I will see how it goes and what the manager wants but if the club feels I should go out on loan to gain more experience and playing time I am happy to do so," Abdul went on.
"I had some minutes in the Championship last year and enjoyed it. My main ambition is to play my way into the City first team. It is the ambition of all the young players but we know that it is not easy because this is one of the best teams in football.
"That is why we listen and learn on trips like this one to Austria. It will help us all improve."
