Community Shield ticket update

The wait to see the new Premier League Champions in action is nearly over with the new season just around the corner, starting with the FA Community Shield, sponsored by McDonalds, on 12 August.
The Blues will take on FA Cup holders Chelsea at Villa Park in the traditional curtain-raiser with kick off at 1.30pm.
A limited number of tickets will be available on general sale to supporters from 1pm on Friday 3 August, so act quickly if you want to be there when the Champions get the season started.
The following categories have now sold out;
Availability of remaining tickets is as follows:
Category 1: Good availability - £45 (Adult), £35 (Under 16 & Over 65), £20 (Walking Ambulant)*
Category 2: Good availability - £35 (Adult), £25 (Under 16 & Over 65), £20 (Walking Ambulant)*
*Qualifying walking ambulant supporters who require assistance will be provided with a ticket for their carer, free of charge. Please note: these seats are not categorised as ‘ambulant seats’ and sit outside the allocated ambulant section of the stadium. Supporters will need the mobility to access seats in all areas where tickets remain available.
Please note, there are a small number of restricted view tickets available in each category which will qualify for a £5 reduction on the above prices. Supporters will be advised at the point of sale if they are purchasing a restricted view seat.
Tickets are available to 2012-13 members who meet the following criteria;
Thursday 2nd August – Blue Members with Match Ticket Priority with 1000 or more loyalty points.
Friday 3rd August until 1pm – All Blue Members with Match Ticket Priority.
Friday 3rd August from 1pm – General sale.
Tickets are available online at www.mcfc.co.uk/tickets and by telephone on 0161 444 1894 (option 1 – lines open 24 hours).
Tickets purchased over the telephone will be subject to a £2.50 booking fee per ticket and all tickets will be despatched via post and sent to the registered address of the purchasing supporter.
Supporters purchasing online will need to have a valid email address which is already registered with the Club and a valid supporter number before they can log into their account via the website. If any supporter has forgotten their password, they will have the option to request a new password which will be sent to their registered email address. Supporter Services and the Ticket Office are open Monday – Saturday, 9am to 5:30pm, (Closed Sunday/Bank Holiday).
