This morning's media has a few twists to the usual transfer speculation.
The Telegraph reports that Lokomotiv Moscow could be looking to scupper Emmanuel Adebayor’s proposed move to Tottenham.
The paper says that the Russian side, now managed by former Croatia coach Slaven Bilic, will attempt to take advantage of protracted talks between the player and Spurs.
The Daily Star Real Madrid thinks that Jose Mourinho is targeting Micah Richards for Real Madrid. The paper reports that the 'Special One' is a long time admirer of Richards, who is currently away with the Team GB Olympic football team, saying,
"Mourinho is a big fan of Richards and tried to sign him when he was Chelsea boss but had a bid rejected.
"He has kept close tabs on his progress and believes he would be a huge hit at Real and boost their chances of winning the Champions League."
After recent reports that Turkish side Bursaspor were in for Kolo Toure, The Daily Mail today says that the player is also wanted by last week’s friendly opponents Al Hilal.
City full-back Reece Wabara is very much in demand following a successful loan spell at Ipswich last season. Sky Sports News say Leeds United, Barnsley, Huddersfield Town, Preston North End and Doncaster Rovers are all interested in taking the player on loan.
In other young player news, Cumbria’s North West Evening Mail reports that City may have signed the next Joe Hart in 11 year old keeper Curtis Anderson.
The Metro thinks that Bilbao’s Fernando Llorente may be on Roberto Mancini’s radar with the Basque striker currently in contract negotiations with Athletic. The paper says that the talks have "opened the door for a move to Manchester City, who are on the lookout for a new striker this summer"
Finally, The Manchester Evening News reports that David Silva has joined the ranks of City players on Twitter. After only a few days, and even fewer tweets, the wing wizard has managed to accrue over 70,000 followers to his @21LVA account.
