City on Facey:

Shay Facey has been a regular through the England age-groups and has made several appearances for the u19s national team.

Facey was part of the squad that took on Inter Milan in the Ferroli Cup in 2011 and, since recovering from injury, has been first choice full-back for the Elite Development Squad.

He joined the first-team on their pre-season tour of South Africa and made his debut against SuperSport United in Johannesburg in July.

From there, Shay seemed to improve every week, striking up one of the league's stingiest centre-back partnerships with Jason Denayer as City advanced to the latter stages of four competitions.

Facey became vice captain in 2013/14, wearing the armband in the absence of Marcos Lopes throughout the campaign.

He made 34 appearances in all competitions and signed a new two-year deal at the club in April 2014.

His fantastic performances earned him a nomination for the 2013/14 EDS Player of the Year award.
